Consortium for Translation and Education Research (CTER)

The Chair for Translation Studies is a member of the international Consortium for Translation Research and Education (CTER). CTER was formed to consolidate the experience of people, organisations and institutions involved in translator training. The aim of the actions of the Consortium is to establish cooperation and facilitate the exchange of experiences of the members of a multicultural community of translator trainers, which would foster the academic status of translation studies and would make them a fully professional and recognised field of research. CTER is ready to undertake research activities in different perspectives: historical, epistemological, sociological, linguistical, professional and practical.

The Consortium organises workshops and conferences for translator trainers and is working on a multi-language dictionary of translation studies terminology. CTER also publishes The Journal of Translator Education and Translation Studies.

More information can be found at the CTER website.
