Head of the Chair for Translation Studies, sworn translator, author and reviewer of publications in the field of translation studies. As the founder and president of the Consortium for Translation Education Research/CTER, she promotes research into the vast field of translator education and acts for improvement in the methods of teaching translation as well as consolidating and verifying educational frameworks and curricula. She participates, among others, in the following projects: the European Graduate Placement Scheme and Global Partners in Education. She is also a Summer School Scholarship Committee member of the European Society for Translation Studies. Intercultural pragmatics, translation strategies and translation pedagogy are the main domains of her academic interest. She applies her research findings to training practice, which includes monograph lectures, MA seminars and various other courses.
