A member of the full-time staff at the Chair for Translation Studies and Intercultural Communication, dr Łukasz Wiraszka teaches Polish-English & English-Polish translation of both non-specialist and specialist (academic & medical) texts. He has published a monograph on viewpoint shifts in interpreting, while his current research interests focus on viewpoint and near-synonymy in academic discourse as well as combining cognitive linguistics and corpus-based methodologies for the study of translation.
