The Chair for Translation Studies offers an intensive two-year MA programme in Translation Studies, as well as intensive one-year non-degree post diploma studies for specialised translators, interpreters and sworn and community translators. We put the greatest emphasis on practical translation classes and preparation for the translation profession. We have a modern computer laboratory and an interpreting laboratory, equipped with multimedia booths for simultaneous interpreting. Our staff members are professional translators and interpreters who combine research on translation and interpreting with working in those jobs.
The Chair has received an EMT accreditation making it a member of the prestigious network of universities educating translators and operating under the auspices of the Directorate-General for Translation of the European Commission.
