Chair for Translation Studies representatives at the European Master's in Translation (EMT) network conference
On 24-25th March the European Commission's Directorate-General for Translation organised a virtual conference of the European Master's in Translation (EMT) network. This year, the event focused on how new technologies and artificial intelligence influence translators and linguists’ education and how they shape their future job market. The conference gathered 175 participants from the EU institutions and 50 translating training programmes of various universities in Europe. The event was also attended by representatives of the Chair for Translation Studies, Jagiellonian University, including Professor Maria Piotrowska. One of the panel discussions devoted to new technologies was moderated by Krzysztof Łoboda.
