"Established in 1952, the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) – or European Court of Justice for short – ensures the uniform interpretation and application
of European Union (EU) law in every EU country and settles legal disputes between national governments and EU institutions. It can also be used by individuals, companies or other organisations to take action against an EU institution if they feel their rights have been infringed.

As such, the CJEU relies heavily on translation services to guarantee the access of individuals, organisations, governments and courts to its case law in their various national languages. In doing so, the CJEU reinforces the democratic and legal rights conferred on all EU citizens by the EU. In this talk, I present the allimportant translation services and workflows at the CJEU together with the key working practices and profiles of the lawyer linguists who drive them."
